New Features

Performance Improvements – New Dropdowns

We want to make Service|Box to be as fast as possible. We found that at times there was a slow down in the application occasionally. After some investigation found that this was due to the drop downs we were using in the application. We have replaced all of the drop downs in the application and expect that the application will not experience slow down.

Work Order – Create Custom Status

You will now be able to create Custom Status’ for work orders. This functionality is the same as how Quotes and Invoice status’ currently work. To modify the status for work orders, go to the Settings section Work Order Tab.

New Colours

We have added 4 new colour schemes to Service|Box, so you are now able to choose the colour that you want for your site. To change the colour go to the Settings screen and click on the tenant tab. There is a dropdown called Colour Scheme. The options are Grey, Purple, Mint, Steel Blue and Original Blue.

Hide Scheduled Items in Scheduler

In the scheduler we have added in a checkbox that will allow you to hide the work orders that are scheduled. To find this open up the scheduler. In the left side where there the work orders are, there is a check box to “hide scheduled”, check this off to hide any work orders in the list that have been scheduled already.

Quote and Invoice Setting to Prevent Adding New Items

In quotes and invoices we now have a setting that will prevent new items from being added directly into the quote or invoice. This is useful if you do fixed based pricing and your price list does not change. For quotes, to view this go into the Settings screen -> Quotes Tab -> Quote Items. For invoices, to view this go into Settings -> Invoices Tab -> Invoice Items.

Maintenance List Improvements

Maintenance Lists – Have made the size of the maintenance lists so they can contain more text for each checkbox. Plus the textboxes that are used to enter in the item will only allow a user to enter in the amount that the database will allow. We have also changed the textboxes for editing maintenance lists so that they are multiline and easier to enter info. A maintenance list will display all text that was entered into the textbox originally so no text will be cut off.

Quote and Invoice Setting to Prevent Updating Price

In quotes and invoices we now have a setting that will prevent existing items from the price being updated. If you use this setting you will be able to change the price in the invoice, but the change will not be saved. For quotes, to view this go into the Settings screen -> Quotes Tab -> Quote Items. For invoices, to view this go into Settings -> Invoices Tab -> Invoice Items.

Enhanced Reporting

We have now made the reporting more flexible in both Quotes and Invoices. In each category (for both invoices and quotes), you will be able to choose if you want to Hide Unit Cost and Quantity or if you want to hide the item total. This way you can display Item – Unit Cost – Quanity – Total or Item – Total or Item.

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed crash related to deleting a custom column that was used already.
  • Improved the display of long addresses in any reporting
